Information We Collect
When you create an account:
- Name and email address — used to identify your account and send event-related communications
- Password — stored as a secure hash; we never store your plain-text password
- Profile picture and bio — optional, shown on your public profile
- Phone number — optional, used for contact purposes only
When you RSVP to an event:
- Name, email, and contact number — shared with the event organiser for check-in purposes
- RSVP timestamp — recorded to confirm your registration
- Check-in status — updated when your QR code is scanned at the event
When you sign in with Google:
- We receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google. We do not access your Google Drive, contacts, or any other Google services.
Automatically collected information:
- Usage data — pages visited, features used (used for improving the platform)
- Device information — browser type, operating system (used for compatibility)
- IP address — used for security monitoring only
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and operate the ATTENDEEZ platform, including event creation, RSVP management, and QR code check-in
- To communicate with you about events you've registered for or created
- To personalise your experience — e.g. pre-filling your details on RSVP forms
- To improve our service by analysing how features are used
- To ensure security and prevent fraudulent or abusive use of the platform
- To comply with legal obligations where required
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
Sharing Your Information
We only share your data in the following limited circumstances:
- With event organisers — when you RSVP, your name, email, and contact are visible to the event organiser for attendance management
- With service providers — we use Supabase for file storage and Vercel for hosting; they process data on our behalf under strict data agreements
- With Google — only if you choose to sign in via Google OAuth
- When required by law — if compelled by a valid legal process or to protect safety
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:
- All passwords are hashed using bcrypt — never stored in plain text
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS / TLS encryption
- Database access is restricted and credential-protected
- Uploaded files are stored in Supabase Storage with access controls
- Sessions use secure, HTTP-only cookies
While we take every reasonable precaution, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information via your profile settings
- Delete your account and associated data by contacting us
- Withdraw consent to data processing at any time (this may limit your ability to use certain features)
- Request a copy of your data in a portable format

ATTENDEEZ is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of ATTENDEEZ after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
